FRSC Appoints Felicia Kalu As Akwa Ibom Sector Commander

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), RS6.3, Akwa Ibom State Command, has a new Sector Commander, Mrs Felicia Kalu.

This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Command’s Public Enlightenment and Public Relations Officer, Paul James.

Mrs Kalu takes over from Francis Ajatta, who has been redeployed to the Rivers State Command.

The statement said the appointment is aimed at enhancing performance and efficiency in road traffic management and safety in the state and across the country.

The FRSC spokesperson said Kalu holds a BA in Linguistics from Abia State University, Uturu, and a Master’s degree in Communication Science from the University of Bucharest, Romania.

He added that the new Sector Commander had served as Acting Corps Secretary and Corps Librarian at the headquarters.

James further stated that until her appointment, Kalu was the Acting Corps Public Education Officer at the headquarters.

In her maiden address, Kalu emphasised her readiness to build on the achievements of her predecessors and tasked personnel on discipline and professionalism.

“To ensure effective service delivery, she solicits the cooperation of motorists and other road users in the state to keep the roads free from crashes,” James said.

According to the statement, Ajatta thanked FRSC personnel in the state for their support and urged them to extend the same cooperation to his successor.
