President Bola Ahmed Tinubu extended a goodwill message during the inauguration of major infrastructure projects in Lagos, with Godswill Akpabio representing him at the ceremony. The projects, executed by the Lagos State Government, are part of efforts to improve urban mobility and enhance economic productivity in Nigeria’s commercial hub.

In his message delivered by Akpabio, the president described the projects as more than physical developments, emphasizing their role in addressing the challenges associated with rapid urban growth. He highlighted the significance of infrastructure such as the Ojota–Opebi Link Bridge, noting that improved transportation directly boosts productivity, saves time, and enhances business activities.

Furthermore, Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to tackling the pressures of expansion in Lagos. He stressed that the government remains determined to overcome infrastructural and urban challenges through strategic planning and continuous investment in critical sectors.

In addition, the president commended Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for sustaining a strong focus on impactful projects. He noted that the ongoing developments reflect a consistent vision of progress and improved living conditions for residents.

Moreover, Tinubu expressed appreciation for the decision to name a newly commissioned administrative complex after him, describing the gesture as symbolic of collective achievements in governance. He emphasized the importance of efficient data systems and transparent processes in driving planning, investment, and public trust.

Akpabio, while representing the president, also urged residents to make proper use of the newly inaugurated facilities and ensure their maintenance. He reiterated the National Assembly’s support for policies and projects that promote economic growth and improve citizens’ welfare.

The president’s absence from the event was attributed to pressing national responsibilities, particularly security matters requiring his attention. Despite this, officials confirmed that he remained actively engaged in governance activities while monitoring developments.

Consequently, as Akpabio delivers the message from Tinubu during the commissioning of major Lagos projects, it underscores the administration’s focus on infrastructure-driven development, as well as its commitment to enhancing urban living and economic efficiency across Nigeria.
